Need to vent

My wife found out today a relative of hers passed away over the weekend so she called her mother to let her know about it. My wife and her mother are not getting along right now for things that have been said and done. My wife has had some serious health issues last fall and was finally got the right treatment. Her mother a few weeks ago asked my wife to get her 10 cases of water. The 30 pack ones. Walmart only had seven so she got them and took them over to her mothers place and had to carry them all inside by herself. The next day my wife started hurting pretty bad in her stomach area. We made a dr appointment and he said she could have a hernia due to her carrying all those water into her house.

So tonight when my wife called her mom about the death she told her mom about the hernia. Her mother then said good you deserve to get hurtand that she doesnt believe she even went to the doctor. The fight was on. My wife ended up hanging up on her mom but she called back. My wife didnt answer the phone so her mom left her a voice message telling her that she was a mistake and that she shouldnt have been born and wishes she had a abortion.

Who in her right mind would ever say those things to her daughter? My wife is so upset about this. I have never seen my wife this upset before. I am royaly pissed and I want to go knock my wife's mother out.

Gosh, what a horrific thing to say to anybody, let alone a daughter :'( .

My heart goes out to your wife during what is obviously a very tough time for her.

I feel her pain. My mom said those same words to me before; "I wish you were never born." It hurt, but I think she did it because she was in pain herself. I think the same can be said for her mother. I don't know what our mom's problems are, but I've worked through some problems I've had with mine. Sounds to me like her mom is just outright mean cause she's a b*tch. Idk if she'd be up for talking to her about getting help, but it might be a good idea to think about in the future. Good luck.

I couldn't live with myself if I ever talked to my child the way your wife's mother talked to her. That is nothing short of cruel, and therefore, gets my classic "Worst Persons" award for being such a cruel human being to her child.

Whether a baby or a full grown adult, no one deserves that kind of treatment from someone who supposedly loves them. That kind of pain leaves scars, and those scars last a lifetime if one lets it linger.
